India is a democratic country !!! We decide what we want !!! But till date there are numerous loop holes in India !!! Now we have our biggest enemy as corruption !!! But there is one more thing which is equally important or even more important than this !!!
Assume there is a murder in front of your eyes !!! How many of us will come forward to be a witness ?!!?!?
I know the number will be very less !!! The reason is, we might be endangered by the murderer !!!
This is what I mean to say, there is no protection for Witness in India !!!
Imagine, if there is a law to protect witness !!! The things could have been something different !!! At least 10% more people would come forward to become witness !!!
Police records says that there are numerous cases pending to be filled only because there is no witness !!! We have seen many videos that people being killed in public - but no person come forward to be a witness !!!
Is this not motivating the criminals !?!? It is like giving green chit to rowdies to show their power !!!
They create a fear in us that, if we report against them - that is end of our life !!! And obviously they have also killed many many witness !!!
This not only results in powerful rowdy base but also a weak police system !!! We blame our police department as inactive !!! But think logically - unless my friends or family members are injured, I am not going to become a witness !!!
Even if some person comes out as a witness, he is treated with disrespect !!! Because none of the parents or friends want to have a witness as their son or friend respectively !!!
But when it comes to ourself, that time we are ready to beg to others for being a witness !!! We all compare our police department with FBI, NYPD etc !!! But there people come forward to be a witness, because witness protection act is there !!!
Physical and Mental Protection for witness is ensured as per Witness protection law !!!
If we want to be safe and if we want to reduce number of attacks and blasts - Witness Protection Act is mandatory !!! But our Government says that there is no urgency in implementing this act in India !!! I am still not clear in understanding their statement !!!
