It is the major zone and most popular area. Model Town, Pitampura, Civil Lines, ISBT, etc are the few regions. Underground metro (Yellow lines) metro first started in North Delhi. Delhi University close to Model town is also in North Delhi. Azadpur sabzi mandi, the biggest mandi is also in North Delhi. Office of Chief Electoral Commissioner are situated in this area. TV tower and Delhi Development Authority (DDA) are also located in Pitampura, North Delhi.

Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium : It was built in the year 1982 by the Indian Government. To host 9th Asian Games in New Delhi in 1982, it was built. Two one-day matches also played in this stadium. But we lost all the 2 matches from Australia and South Africa. The capacity of the seats for the are between 100,000 to 130,000.

New Delhi Railway Station : Located in Central Delhi in Paharganj area, two kms aways from the North of Cannaught Place. The one of the largest railways station handles more than 350 trains daily including rajdhani express and shatabadi express. It has 12 platforms. It is also near to Kashmere Gate bus terminal. The distance between Indira Gandhi Airport to New Delhi Railway Station is around 22 km.

Delhi Junction : It is the oldest railway station built by the British. It has more than 12 platforms. It is located near Red Fort and Kashmere Gate bus terminal.

Both train stations are connected with metro train.
